thinking of middle creek made me think of forgotten actions but important in the time line of the civil war-seven pines/fairoaks in va in 1862,joe johnstons wounding-re lee put in command made a differance.glorietta pass in new mexico in 1862 ended csa hopes in southwest,oddly enough cs win the battle but us cavarly get around and destroy csa wagons and supplies this starts a sad retreat back to texas.most people are suprised to find new mex was abattlground.any other battles or events to add dear readers?
