Hello everyone. I'm new. So new in fact that I don't have anything to post yet, just saying hi. You'll see me around later. <3

I'm a self proclaimed buff. I don't reenact and in fact I don't go to the reenactments anymore either. Completely due to the fact that in IL, we stage this huge battle and always have the north win even though it may be historically inaccurate. It makes me nuts! And if one more announcer makes comment about the evil Forrest...

Does anyone here reenact the confederacy in IL? If you're sick of unjustfully losing every battle regardless and tired of being supressed, let me know. We'll stage our own "battle" Hehehe

You could always reenact Friedrickesberg,-that would get them going,LOL-only joking of course.! My sympathies have always been with the South, I even have a very nice Civil war Chess set, with Lee as one King, and Grant as the other. I always make sure I go the Confederacy, and being a fairly good player, the South usually wins.Ha !!

Since I'm a women I could only do civilian anyway but it still gets annoying. But, I'm pretty tough so any takers on the making a battle of our own? Hehe. I'd love to travel and see the battle of Manassas reenactment.
