How do I found out if I had family members that participated in the civil war. Family names are Cocke, Reasor, Pennington, Sheffy

All 4 families had many soldiers in the war, on both sides. If you're looking for a more specific information, or you have their private names too, you can look them up in this site: http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss
