Yes, IF the Confederacy had won the war,how do you think history would have played out.? Heres my opinion as a non American. Firstly, of course history of the US would have turned on its head. There would be two seperate Nations, two Constitutions, basically two different peoples. However, in my view there would have been some sort of reunification-sort of like east and west germany-maybe around 1900-1920. I think the main reason would have been economic, the South needs the Norths industries, the North needed the Souths agriculture and cotton. Of course the South could have demanded a big say in Congress, who would be President under a Reunification, the making of laws and common law,and on and on it would have gone.
Well thats my view,i would be very interested how some of you American born folks view a hypothetical Confederate victory on American history.

Think you are probably right. Especially if the South had been allowed to secede peacefully. Even had the South won its independence by force of arms there would have eventually been some sort of alliance even if only a military one. Great Britain has been the closest US Allie since WWI and we fought them in not just a war of secession but the War of 1812 and very nearly just after the WBTS
