i was wondering how many satues exist that portray lincoln in some form or another, there must be thousands.as for davis not nearly as many but still a good amount im sure.there is one of davis with two of his children supposed to be bound for richmond, the scv who paid for it,offered it to tredegar’s american civil war center, they said yes but how it would be displayed apprently wasnt worked out s scv will take it elswhere[i read this in the richmond -times dispatch]one of the children shown next to davis is jim limber an orphan adopted by davis and his wife who was mixed race, the other child is his son joe.lincoln has a new one for gettysburg i read, they only need a location.if your wondering on the southern part of vicksburg battlefield the kentucky monument portrays both lincoln and davis almost life sized together, i guess just hanging out and discussing back home events, its a little strange.i imagine davis arguing states rights and lincoln saying “‘this reminds me of a story”… kevin a kearns
