Mr Lincolns Birthday

2oo years ago feb 12th abe lincoln was born and people will be celabrating around the country,fords theater in dc on the 12th is a good place to start with a wreath laying ceremony.a band playing,people taking the stage to talk about lincolns life-the national archives will display the original emancipation proclamation,antietam battlefield will have talks and the wills house[where he stayed night before giving his gettysburg address]in gettysburg pa will reopen,i never thought about this but the wills house was his gettysburg address at least for one day[i wonder if abe ever made this pun himsalf]i mention this short list of things going on because im going to washington that dayto check out fords if i was closer to springfield i would go there or hodgenburg ky anyway ill blog how the trip went when i return others might tell us about what went on in their neck of the woods with the 16th president.
